A young man identified as Anuoluwapo Saheed, was reportedly stabbed to death at a brothel in Abule-Egba area of Lagos State, while he was negotiating for a sex session with a prostitute resident of the 'pay-by-hour' joint.
According
to police reports, Saheed was attacked by some 'local' hoodlums led by
one Emmanuel on July 30, 2015, at the brothel called Buffalo Hotel,
located along Akerele Street, in the area, after he was traced to the
place where he was drinking with friends.
It was
gathered that after ascertaining that he was inside the brothel, the
gang paid a prostitute to lure him out and when they stepped out and
were negotiating how much he would pay for a night with her, the gang
pounced on him and stabbed him to death before disappearing into the
night.
A fellow commercial sex worker who narrated how the incident happened, said:
"Saheed
(victim) came inside to drink, and he was strolling out with one of the
'ashewo' to negotiate when the incident happened. I think the
assailants were cultists, and they had been lurking around the area for
very long. As soon as he came out of the gates, he was attacked.”
The
state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Patricia Amadin, who
confirmed the incident, said investigation was ongoing on the matter.
