PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari and his predecessor, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, emerged Vanguard’s Personalities of the Year 2015 because of their persistence and strength of character.
In particular, President Buhari was considered worthy because of his unrelenting political struggles which were reminiscent of a similar struggle by a former American President, Abraham Lincoln.
On his part, former President Jonathan was deemed worthy because he turned out to be a man in possession of a rare strength of character which is alien to Nigeria, by accepting his loss at the polls and conceding victory to Buhari.
