Liverpool Under No Pressure To Sell Coutinho To Barcelona - Jurgen Klopp

Image result for philippe coutinho
Jurgen Klopp has told Sky Germany that Liverpool are a club that "does not need to sell" after they rejected a second bid from Barcelona for Philippe Coutinho.

On Wednesday, sources told ESPN FC that Liverpool dismissed another an approach worth €100 million from Barcelona for Coutinho and reiterated their stance that the Brazil forward is not for sale.

Although the player would be keen on a move to the Camp Nou, according to sources, Liverpool consider the matter closed, with Klopp saying there is no price for any key player that would cause the Reds to sell.

"Looking at the financial aspects, there is no pain barrier so that we'd give in when a certain fee has been reached," Klopp said.

"It's rather about wanting to assemble the best possible team, and this first of all means keeping the lads already at the club, and to complete the squad with others."

When asked what would happen if Barcelona were to offer €150m for Coutinho, Klopp distanced himself from talking about his star player specifically, but said: "Is there a player worldwide who's untouchable for other clubs? I'd say no.

"But like always in life it's about timing, it's about many things, and we are not talking about 'Phil' now but generally speaking.

"It's about whether you can react and whether you must react and if you must react, do you have enough time to react and such things. And that's it.

"But just to say: 'Ah, another club has made an enquiry, let's think about it,' we are just not in this situation and that's all you can say about it. Liverpool are a club that does not need to sell and that's like written in stone and thus it does not matter in the end [what is paid]."

Last month saw Liverpool reject Barcelona's £72m bid for Coutinho and Klopp later said the La Liga side could "save their energy" in their pursuit of the player.

The 25-year-old signed a five-year contract at Anfield back in January, with Liverpool ensuring no release clause was inserted in the new deal.

Its Official, PSG Announce Signing Of Neymar For 5-Years In World Record Deal

Image result for photos of neymar jr
After weeks of speculations, ?Paris Saint-Germain have officially completed the signing of Brazilian superstar Neymar from Barcelona and in the process more than doubled the previous world transfer record after triggering the 25-year-old's enormous €222m release clause.

This is the first time in history that a French club has broken the record, with Spanish, Italian and English clubs responsible for all but three world record deals since the very first £100 transfer was completed 124 years ago in 1893.

Neymar signed a lucrative 5-year contract with PSG after leaving Barcelona's pre-season programme earlier this week.

On completion of the transfer, Neymar said 'I am extremely happy to join Paris Saint-Germain. Since I arrived in Europe, the club has always been one of the most competitive and most ambitious. And the biggest challenge, what most motivated me to join my new teammates is to help the club to conquer the titles that their fans want. I played 4 seasons in Europe and I feel ready to take the challenge. From today, I will do everything I can to help my new teammates, to open up new horizons for my club and to bring happiness to its millions of supporters around the world'.

Klopp In Contact With Mbappe

Image result for photos of Kylie Mbappe
Determined to leave AS Monaco, Kylian Mbappé is spoiled for choice for his future. And Liverpool would still be well placed on this issue.

And there are many contenders. If Real Madrid , PSG , Manchester City and FC Barcelona are regularly quoted, L'Équipe recalls that there is another track not to be neglected, that leading to Liverpool .

Indeed, according to the daily, Jürgen Klopp is very active in this matter and moved himself last May to try to convince Kylian Mbappé .

Since then, the German technician has maintained regular contact, especially since he knows that the Reds have significant financial resources. "

Neymar Transfer In Limbo As La Liga Rejects €222 Mllion Payment Over FFP

Neymar
Neymar's world-record move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain has entered legal limbo as La Liga has rejected the €222 million payment deposited by the player's lawyer.
The 25-year-old was expected to complete his move on Friday and push to play a part in PSG's Ligue 1 opener on Saturday against Amiens.

The 25-year-old was expected to complete his move on Friday and push to play a part in PSG's Ligue 1 opener on Saturday against Amiens.

However, Neymar's lawyer Juan de Dios Crespo had the cheque to trigger his €222m release clause rejected by the Spanish league on Thursday morning.
"We can confirm Neymar legal representatives went to LaLiga to pay buyout clause and it has been rejected," La Liga said in a statement. "That's all the information we are going to give for the moment."
The decision to reject the attacker's move - which looked all-but certain after he said goodbye to Barca players and staff on Wednesday and informed the club of his decision to leave - puts the transfer in a completely unprecedented situation, although the latest developments do not come as a surprise.

"They cannot invent some numbers where their commercial rights exceed those of Real Madrid and Barcelona. Nobody believes that."

FIFA could be forced to wade in should La Liga continue to drag its heels and refuse to acknowledge the payment, but the governing body has no plans to intervene just yet.

"In order for an international transfer to take place, an International Transfer Certificate (ITC) is required. This is issued from the player’s former association to his new one (see: Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players Article 9. International Transfer Certificate)," a FIFA spokesperson told Goal.

"For an international transfer to take place an ITC is necessary and the various steps need to be taken to get the ITC.

"Once this has been completed the former association of the player, asks the player and his former club to confirm if his contract has expired, if it was ended early or on mutual agreement or whether there is a contractual dispute.

"The ITC can be rejected if the contract between the player and his former club has not expired, or if there is no mutual agreement regarding its early termination.
"Generally speaking FIFA doesn’t speculate on potential scenarios and their outcomes so in this respect we refer to the regulations."

La Liga's rejection was likely done to highlight what it perceives to be an aggressive move from a foreign club, but there is precedent for buyout clauses being triggered in Spain by foreign clubs, with Bayern Munich buying Javi Martinez from Athletic in 2012.

PSG will remain confident that the transfer can be forced through this summer, though, with Ligue 1 organisers LFP offering the Paris side their support in what could turn into a legal battle.
"The LFP is surprised and does not understand La Liga's refusal simply to accept the payment of the release clause of the player Neymar," an official statement read.

"The LFP asks La Liga to abide by the rules of FIFA and its responsibilities. The LFP supports Paris Saint-Germain and wishes Neymar to join the Ligue 1 championship.

"The LFP's legal services are in support and at the disposal of Paris Saint-Germain, so that the contract of Neymar can be approved as soon as possible."

Pochettino Threat At Tottenham Forces Conte & Mourinho Onto Front Foot

Image result for Photos of Mourinho and Pochettino
They probably did not coordinate their efforts across continents, but it nevertheless felt that way. It was a pincer movement from east and west comprising of attempts to apply pressure to Tottenham. It was conducted by Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho, one the reigning champion and the other, one of the most decorated managers ever.

Conte took aim from Asia. Mourinho's less-than-friendly fire came from America. The Manchester United manager was at his magnificently illogical best when discussing Spurs and comparing their transfer business to the £200 million that Manchester City have spent. "There is another team that I feel the dimension of their investment is also phenomenal: Tottenham," Mourinho told national newspapers when in Washington, D.C.

Meanwhile, Conte suggested Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino operates in an easier environment than him. "My question is this: what are Tottenham's expectations?" he asked rhetorically in Singapore. "If they don't win the title, it's not a tragedy. If they don't arrive in the Champions League, it's not a tragedy. If they go out in the first round of the Champions League, it's not a tragedy. If they go out after the first [knockout] game that they play in the Europa League and go down against Gent, it is not a tragedy."

Coincidence? Perhaps. The reality is that, sizable as Tottenham are, they are scrutinised less than Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and both of the Manchester clubs. The sense is that Pochettino's peers are envious of the Argentine. The implication is that they believe he is granted a free pass, applauded for his faith in youth, capacity to improve players and entertaining, tactically flexible football, but spared criticism when he does not actually win anything. The impression is that they want to change perceptions and expectations, to end a culture in which Spurs are praised for coming close and others are condemned for not finishing first.

Their argument may be that they want a level playing field. Pochettino is entitled to point out that it is not flat. It is very probable Spurs' wage bill will only be the sixth-biggest in the division and significantly smaller than United's. Tottenham's transfer profits this summer will reach the £50m mark if all the add-ons from Kyle Walker's move to City are triggered. The rest of the top six have forked out over £600 million between them, even if Chelsea's spending in particular is alleviated by outgoings.

"Until now they spent zero pounds, right? They keep everybody they want to keep," said Mourinho, although his squad has not been disrupted by any unwanted sales, and if it were such a master plan, he would have been spending nothing every summer for years. Perhaps the rationale is that Tottenham have, as some think, the strongest starting XI in the division (although definitely not the deepest group) and have been the outstanding side for large swathes of the last two seasons. Mourinho undermined his case by describing the investment in Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld -- a combined cost of £19.5m, or about 60 percent of Victor Lindelof -- as "phenomenal."

Yet the significant element is not so much the thinking that underpinned it, but the fact that Pochettino is in Mourinho's line of fire. Some of those who have felt the force of his tongue were easy targets, men Mourinho wound up for the sheer enjoyment, but many were singled out because they were threats. At different stages in his career, Arsene Wenger has belonged in both categories, but it has long been a gripe of his that Wenger is treated differently.

"There are some managers, the last time they won a title was 10 years ago, the last time I won was a year ago," he said last summer. He has added two more major honours since then, albeit while finishing 17 points behind Tottenham, but Pochettino has never won a trophy. He is the exception among the six supercoaches who have a combined 24 top-flight league titles to their names. It is a mitigating factor that Tottenham have not secured silverware since 2008, but the longer that remains the case, the higher the profile that statistic may assume, at least if other managers highlight it, and the more that may reflect on Pochettino.

Mourinho has not yet branded Pochettino a "specialist in failure," as he once termed Wenger, but the manager who took Spurs to their highest league finish in half a century may find a repeat brings sniping among the paeans of praise. Conte is newer to mind games (in England anyway), and given how many things have proved sackable offences under Roman Abramovich, he may have been referring jealously to his counterpart's easier working conditions, but citing Pochettino's European record felt pertinent. Spurs were dismal in continental competitions last season and their manager escaped largely unscathed, a luxury none of the managers at the other top-six clubs would be afforded.

If Wenger, Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola are less likely to join in, it will be instructive if Mourinho and Conte can shape popular opinion. Tottenham will not be underachievers if they do win the title; indeed, financially they will be punching well above their weight if they finish in the top four again. Yet perhaps some of their peers want inquests instead of applause, fault-finding rather than fanfare.

Some heated drama went down on Seun Kuti’s Instagram page yesterday.

Seun accused God of plagiarism after he shared snapshot from a book that compared the Bible’s Proverbs to the teachings of Amen-en-ope.

According to Seun,

If the bible was inspired by the word of ‘god’ how come we wrote the thoughts of ‘god’ before ‘gods’ people ?
Is it really proverbs or is it stolen from work of our ancestor pharaoh Amen-em-Ope. Steal knowledge. Steal land. Steal people. Steal resources. #lifeondroad #struggletour #naijaresistance
His fans who wouldn’t take the comparison came for him and a heated argument followed.

Power-Drunk Soldier Stabs Motorcyclist To Death For Shunning Him

power-drunk soldier stabs okada rider dead

A power-drunk soldier, Abiola Odedeji, has allegedly killed an okada rider, Niyi James aka Emi-Ero, bringing sorrow and pain to the deceased’s family.

Odedeji allegedly stabbed the Niyi James in different parts of the body.

PUNCH Metro reports that the killer soldier had visited his girlfriend, Amada David, at Agbado Junction around 3.30pm last Thursday in company with his colleague, Damilare Oni.

The soldiers went to the area, close to the Agbado Police Station, on a power bike.

It was gathered that after a short discussion, Odedeji and his girlfriend decided to go out on the motorbike.

He was said to have stopped Niyi, who shuttled between the junction and Agbado Crossing, to take Oni to Ijaiye, Lagos State.

An eyewitness, who gave his name only as Akinjobi, told Punch that the 36-year-old native of Ikogosi, Ekiti State, declined on the grounds that he did not have a ticket to operate in the Ijaiye area.

Akinjobi said:
“The soldier (Odedeji) was angry that the okada rider said no to a military man and started flogging him with a horsewhip. Suddenly, he brought out a long knife and stabbed the man on the thigh.
“He also stabbed him on the waist and stomach. He was so confident that he robbed off the bloodstains on the knife on the man’s head. He boasted that he had killed many people. He and his colleague escaped on the power bike, while the lady took another motorcycle. We quickly alerted the police.”
A team of policemen, led by the Agbado Divisional Police Officer, CSP Sunday Omonijo, immediately went after the suspects.

Punch adds that a source said David was apprehended on Clem Road, Ijaiye, while policemen chased the soldiers to Mosalasi bus stop.

He said:
“Odedeji stabbed one of the policemen on the arm, but they eventually arrested him and his colleague. He is part of the troops deployed in Borno State to fight Boko Haram. His colleague is serving in Bauchi State. They are both from Osun State. The okada rider died at the Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital.”
The source explained that the girlfriend had invited Odedeji to intervene in a N25,000 business transaction involving her and a customer.

“The lady said she bought a container from somebody, but the person had not delivered it to her after paying N25,000. She wanted to use the soldiers to intimidate the person to refund the money,” the source added.
The deceased’s elder brother, Kolawole James, said the family had lost a breadwinner, demanding that Niyi’s killer should be brought to justice.

He said,
“I brought him from our village about eight years ago. At a point, I relocated to Akure, Ondo State. I was called on the telephone on Thursday that he was involved in an accident and that he was in a critical condition.
“On getting to where he lived in Agbado Crossing on Friday, I was directed to the general hospital. It was at the hospital I learnt that he was stabbed by a soldier. He was dead when I got there.
“He was the most gentle child in the family. I never believed this could happen to him. He was single. The soldier that killed him must be prosecuted.”
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident, said the suspects would be charged to court after investigations had been concluded.

He said,
“The case has been transferred to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Eleweran, for further investigations. The Nigerian Army has been contacted and the suspects will face necessary disciplinary action.”

"Playing Football Saved Me From Life On The Streets" --Dele Alli

Tottenham star Dele Alli has told British GQ that playing football saved him from a childhood on the streets.

Alli had a difficult upbringing in Milton Keynes and he left home at 13 to live full time with the family of friend Harry Hickford -- before the pair both turned professional at local club MK Dons.

Twenty-one-year-old Alli has flourished since moving to White Hart Lane for £5 million in summer 2015, scoring 18 goals last season on the way to a second consecutive PFA Young Player of the Year award.

But the England international admits he fell in the wrong crowd as a youngster and says his life could have been very different.

"I got into trouble a few times when I was younger," Alli said. "I hung around with the wrong people when I was real young. With the older boys, I tried to do what they did. We weren't in a very good area.

"[Football] gave me the opportunity to actually put my energy into something else than hanging out on the street at 12 years old until 2 a.m."
Image result for Photos Of Dele Alli
Reflecting on his goal-scoring, Alli said: "I think a lot of my goals come from anticipating play. Just constantly thinking and trying to predict what's going to happen. When you're in the box, it's all quick-quick-quick.

"So you've got to sort of guess what's going to happen next. Where the ball might fall, so you can get that extra yard on the defender."

Last season's runners-up Tottenham finished with 11 wins from the final 12 games, and the best attack and defence in the top-flight, but they are the only Premier League club yet to make a summer signing.

Alli believes Spurs are within touching distance of a maiden Premier League title but he admitted the club need to make at least one signing.

"I think we're inches away from it [the title]. Maybe another player or two players is all we need."

Kelechi Iheanacho Completes £25 Million Leicester Move - Sources

Image result for PHotos of Kelechi Iheanacho

Kelechi Iheanacho on Tuesday evening completed a £25 million move from Manchester City to Leicester City after passing a medical, sources have confirmed to KweséESPN.

The fee makes him the most expensive Nigerian player ever, displacing Odion Ighalo when he signed for Chinese club Changchun Yatai for £20m in January.

It is also the second highest African transfer fee this season behind Mohamed Salah's £34.3m move from Roma to Liverpool.

The transfer, which has been in the offing for weeks, was held up by legal issues over his image rights with his former agents. But sources close to the player confirmed to KweséESPN that after passing his medical on Tuesday, the player signed a five-year contract with the Foxes.

However, an announcement is only expected within the next 24-48 hours as the club tidy up legal details in respect of his former representatives.

Manchester City have inserted a buy-back option in the contract, which KweséESPN is told has been pegged at £50m for one of Europe's brightest young footballers.

It is unlikely, but Iheanacho could be announced in time to be involved in Friday's friendly against Borussia Monchengladbach at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester's capture of the 20-year-old, who scored 26 goals in his 71 appearances across all competitions and friendlies for Manchester City, brings to three the number of Nigerians at the King Power after Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi.

Woman’s Breast Implants Explode After She Got Involved In Horror Car Crash

breast implants explode car cash
A 25 year old woman’s new breast implants bursted open after she got involved in a horror car crash that left her “completely bleeding” and in agony.

According to MirrorUK, the crash happened three weeks ago in Minsterworth, Gloucester. Becky Bitchenor was a back seat passenger in a car which was crushed between two other vehicles.

As the force of the crash hit her car, the stitches from her recent boob job came apart and her breast implant surgery completely opened.

She needed another operation to repair them. But she was forced to wait three days before surgeons could do anything and as a result, her breasts got badly infected.

Becky was in hospital for 13 days and as well as the damage to her breasts, she was diagnosed with slipped discs and wiplash.

Now, she relies on a zimmer frame and has to use a walking stick to help her get by as the pain of her injuries take hold.

She told Gloucestershire Live:

“I’m unable to walk unaided – I’m only 25. I’m currently on the list for physio as my right leg shakes when I walk and is completely numb.
“I also had cuts to my head and bruising and swelling inside and outside of my body. I had to stay in hospital without being able to see my son.
It’s been a very emotional journey and I have not been able to sleep at night due to nightmares.”
Becky, who lives in Quedgeley, was the only one seriously injured in the accident.

Tinubu Denies Purchasing New Plane

Bola Tinubu

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday debunked reports that he recently purchased a new airplane.

Mr. Tinubu, who ruled as Lagos State governor between 1999 and 2007, described the report as false, stressing that the publication was partial and unfair in the said report.

It was reported last month by ThisDay that the former Lagos governor recently purchased a new airplane.

But Mr. Tinubu, in a statement released on Tuesday and signed by his Special Assistant, Ademola Oshodi, said the story was false and the newspaper partisan.

“The THISDAY story of Sunday, July 23, 2017 claiming Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has recently purchased a new airplane is symptomatic of what happens when a publication divorces itself from any pretence of objective and impartial reportage,” the statement said.
“This is what happens when a newspaper becomes a mercenary tool for partisan designs. THISDAY has a partisan axe to grind and it seeks to grind that axe against someone like Asiwaju Bola Tinubu because that is what the paymasters of THISDAY demand of it.
“So eager to be seen as loyal to the whims of its paymasters, THISDAY stands disloyal to the very truth it professes to publish. Rather than practise journalism, this publication now specialises in peddling rumour and manufacturing fake scandal. One of the paper’s favourite excursions into fiction is to publish any and all things false about Bola Tinubu. Why THISDAY has such animus against Tinubu only the paper can answer. That such irrational hatred exists cannot be controverted.”
The statement also faulted the pictures attached to the publication, saying they were doctored and not genuine.

“Tinubu has not purchased a new plane. He is currently using the same plane he has used for over a decade now,” Mr. Oshodi said.
He also explained further that the only plane the APC leader owns is the same plane that was used during the general elections of 2011 and 2015, which aided the APC campaign efforts and eventual victory at the polls.

Mr. Oshodi who claimed that the report was targeted at embarrassing Mr. Tinubu, noted that if an investigation had been carried out before the publication, the ‘fake’ report would have been discarded.

“But these merchants of fake news are more interested in attacking perceived enemies than in enlightening the public as should be the call of a newspaper,” the statement said.
The statement argued that if authors of the publication had checked the photograph they published, they would have noticed that the pictures revealed spaces with different interiors.

“They would have easily seen that (Mr.) Tinubu’s picture was superimposed to a space he has not been,” Mr. Oshodi said, adding that the controversial report was “sensational, shoddy and false.”

Boy Goes Completely Insane After Trying To Spend 10 Nights Sleeping In Graveyard

Zambian boy goes completely mad

A Zambian boy has gone completely nuts after he challenged his area chief that he could spend 10 cold nights sleeping in a graveyard.

The young man named James Chileshe aka Jumbo boy reportedly challenged Chief Mukkuni three weeks ago after the chief announced that he did not fear prison as he had slept for 7 days in a graveyard.

Due to poverty and seeking for cheap fame, Jumbo boy opted to challenge the senior chief by promising to spend 10 days in a graveyard.

The chief accepted his challenge, and off the daring village boy went to lie flat on top of a grave.

However, hell broke loose on day four of the challenge when Jumbo boy suddenly broke into prolonged raucous laughter, stripped himself totally naked in broad daylight, and started dancing, singing and running helter–skelter.

One of his concerned uncles, Michael Chileshe said:

“James managed to spend only four days at the graveyard out of the 10 he had promised chief, then started singing and dancing. He claimed that he could hear sweet melodies.
Mr Chileshe further explained that after singing and dancing to himself, his nephew removed all his clothes and started running in broad day light and has never been seen for 6 days now.

His family has reportedly alerted the cops, who have since launched investigation into the strange incident.

Chief Mukkuni is, however, yet to publicly comment on the weighty matter.

Former Chelsea Striker, Carlton Cole To Be Sacked By Indonesian Club After Failing To Score A Single Goal

Football striker, Carlton Cole who signed for Indonesian side Persib Bandung on a 10-month deal in March is on the verge of being sacked by the club for having failed to score a single goal since his arrival.

According to the manager of the Club, Umuh Muchtar, the former Chelsea, West Ham and England striker plays very badly' compared to other foreign players' and therefore want him replaced for the second stage of the season, which starts on Saturday.

Muchtar said: 'He plays very badly compared to the other (foreign players) who have joined Persib. He had the worst performance.'

Reacting to the manager's claims, the 33-year-old striker played down reports he has been let go by Persib Bandung and has hit back at his boss for trying to butt him out of the club.

'I am fit as a fiddle,' Cole said on talkSPORT. 'The manager didn't bring me here and he doesn't want me to play. That's what's going on.

'I have the full backing of the board. There's a war going on in the club that I am a part of.

'He wants to bring his own players in so he can get paid. There's a lot of things going on behind the scenes.

'I have started two games out of 16 because he has not wanted to play me.

'Me and Michael Essien are playing catch-up. There's no reserve league here. He's trying to point fingers because of his bad management.

'I don't like to leave unfinished business. I don't want to be in the middle. The fans have been unbelievable.

'It's very political, but I want to carry on here and progress with the team. I get the blame for everything.

'I am flabbergasted. The manager is trying to get me out. It's difficult because of one guy. I will resolve it.'

Also ranting on his Instagram this afternoon, the England footballer wrote:

'I will be professional and calm as I usually am. But this direct attack on me for the whole season must stop. Look at yourself first before you point fingers at good people. I was very surprised and disappointed what came out of Umuh Muchtar's mouth on sky sports news in England.'

And I would like to clarify I have a great relationship with Persib and everyone connected to the team. But this manipulation of the media has to stop somewhere because when you intentionally try to damage my career that I have worked so hard for it starts to get personal.

I have not once mentioned this man's name in a bad way, he has not once supported me since I arrived at the club. And I haven't been treated fairly but I kept my mouth shut and worked hard and kept everything professional. I am still Persib player until I tell you otherwise.

I have a 1-year contract here and I have enjoyed it so far even though I have had to turn a blind eye to these direct attacks from this man in the media. Anyway let's hope for the best in the near future for Persib Bandung
