I got more jobs and became richer after Tonto Dikeh’s marital crisis – Rosaline Meurer

Nollywood actress Rosaline Meurer has opened up in an interview about her life after the marriage crisis that rocked Tonto Dikeh, in which she was accused as the major culprit.

According to the actress, she got more popular after the allegation and got more jobs that she eventually increased her wealth.

In the interview with The Punch, the actress talked about her background, career, the marriage crisis that shot her into limelight and so many other issues.

I am from a ‘well-appointed’ background where I got all I wanted while growing up because my parents were always there for me. My parents laid a good foundation for me. I went to the best school in The Gambia and I had good moral training which prepared me for the future and challenges ahead. As a kid, I loved aircraft and flying. That propelled me to seek to be an air hostess or a pilot. I have always loved travelling and meeting new people. Today, I am neither an air hostess nor a pilot but an actress” She said about her background.

On Tonto Dikeh/Olakunle Churchill

The stones that were thrown at me with intentions to bring me down last year when I was used to cover up a marriage crisis turned around to be in my favour with God on my side. I got more jobs and more money.

At first, I was bothered; then I realised that so many other innocent people were used and lied on as well in the same situation. Out of respect for the head of the family and because I and my family have come a long way with him even before I relocated to Nigeria, I decided to let go. I don’t have any relationship with Tonto Dikeh; I only know her to be Mr. Churchill’s ex-wife.

Rosaline Meurer however mentioned that she would have been a pilot if she didn’t venture into acting:

I am also involved in modeling and real estate. I also do some charity works with Big Church Foundation. If I wasn’t an actress, I would have become a pilot or air hostess.

When she was asked about her relationship status, she mentioned that it is private and would rather not reveal much about it:

I like to keep my relationship status private. However, I love men who have integrity, are hard-working and have the fear of God. I love someone who is honest, loves hard, tells the worst truth instead of his best lie, loves and respects his parents, loves to cuddle and travel.

I survived #BBNaija show because of my polygamous background – Marvis

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Marvis who real names are Marvis Nkpornwi was a major title contender on the 2017 edition of the reality TV show. The princess has however mentioned that she was able to survive the madness on the show because of her polygamous background.

Marvis spoke with Emelogu Favour in this new interview and she touched areas like her music career, growing up in a polygamous family, Efe Ejeba, and Big Brother Naija.

She was asked about her recent hiatus in the industry before re-surfacing with an EP. She however responded saying that was not true:

I didn’t go underground. I’ve been out there doing stuff ranging from music to movies while working on #HereTheEp’. Being my first body of work I’m putting out musically, Nigerians should expect something far from the usual.

The singer also talked about the opportunities that her participation on the Big Brother Naija show has opened for her:

BBNaija is a huge platform I’m sure we all agree. And for someone like me that was prepared enough for the opportunity when it came knocking, I’ve done nothing but take the bull by the horn since the show and afterward. My current challenge is some people think I’m already set up; so I don’t “entirely” need their support but I’m upcoming, and your support is all I need.

Marvis is from a polygamous family and she explained on how her background helped her survive through the storms on the show then:

Yes, I come from a polygamous family. My dad is married to four wives and I have 19 siblings. It has actually given me more than I’d like to agree. Because when I went into the Big Brother house, I was seeing people act like their madness was the peak. That was why I could unlook a lot of the drama because there was nothing new. I’ve witnessed the pettiest of all squabbles and it’s hard to surprise me.

On her relationship with her fellow ex-housemates on the show, Marvis has this to say:

The other 2017 housemates and I are quite kosher. We see every now and again and when we do, we try to make it worth it. I think everyone is doing really well in their different areas, and this is only the beginning.

Apart from music, the beautiful lady also mentioned that she is into modelling:

Modelling and movies. One is out in the cinemas already. It’s titled ‘Mummy Dearest’ and there are more to come. Also my #Nahsodotcom campaign is growing stronger. We launched Nahso.com in April 2017. The name was coined by the slogan I say every time I hear about something that makes sense, like a unique idea, topic or happening. With this brand, I wish to start a movement, through which I can preach positivity and productivity among youths.

She was the asked about her perception on the current BBNaija housemates?

I think people expected more from them, but they’ve been nothing but entertaining in their own way. So I think it’s a good season all the same.

Miranda Lambert & Anderson East separate after over 2 years together

US Weekly reports that Miranda Lambert and boyfriend Anderson East have gone their separate ways after many weeks of split rumors. However, the representatives for Lambert and East did not immediately respond to request for comments.

Earlier this month, the country star hinted at a possible breakup when she spoke of pouring her emotions into her music during a concert at the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee.

“I make it my mission every single time I step on the stage that no matter what, no matter where I am, I want to make you feel everything you could possibly feel,” Miranda Lambert said before performing an acoustic version of her hit “Tin Man,” as reported by local news outlet ‘Knox News’.

“I want you to feel sad, mad, happy and nostalgic and really pissed sometimes. That’s my favorite. And part of feelings is also heartbreak, unfortunately,” she continued.

“But fortunately for me, I can use it for my art or whatever. I like to write sad songs. I like to listen to sad songs, so I want to sing y’all one,” Lambert concluded.

The country singers first began to date in the fall of 2015, months after she and ex-husband, Blake Shelton, announced their divorce in July.

The following April, Miranda Lambert, 34, and Anderson East, 30, made their romance red carpet official at the 2016 ACMs, where they cozied up inside the show as she picked up the award for female vocalist of the year.

The “Vice” singer who has been quiet about her latest relationship briefly mentioned East in Cosmopolitan‘s first-ever country issue last year.

“The last thing I googled was my boyfriend Anderson East to show off his cute pictures,” she told the magazine.

In January, East spoke about his relationship to In Style, saying there was ‘true admiration there and a large level of understanding on both sides’.

“It’s always difficult to be a traveling musician and still keep things together,” he added.

“Understanding is definitely a huge factor.”

While Lambert has remained tight-lipped about East in the media, she’s shared glimpses of their life together on her Instagram throughout their two years together.

“My favorite Bama boy turned 30 today. He owns the stage and he owns my heart. Thanks @andersoneast for inspiring me in so many ways. You are a light that could outshine the sun. I love making memories with you,” she captioned a tribute for his 30th birthday last July.

Lambert and East no longer follow each other on Instagram and were last pictured together in public at the 2017 CMA Awards in November.

See The reason 39-year old female shooter at YouTube HQ opened fire

39-year-old Nasim Aghdam, who stormed YouTube’s California headquarters with a handgun and reportedly shot 3 YouTube employees before killing herself, did so over a personal vendetta.

Nasim who is a YouTube addict, was angry with the platform over their new policies which has stricter rules and further censors certain videos. The lady who ranted online against the company’s new policies and accused them of censoring her videos, walked into YouTube headquarters wearing glasses and a scarf and opened fire on employees, hitting a man and two women.

Law enforcement officials said the shooting was being investigated as a domestic dispute, after initial reports suggested she had shot her boyfriend and injured two women. Officers and federal agents swarmed the company’s headquarters complex in the city of San Bruno just before 1pm, after dozens of panicked employees called 911 to report gunfire.

Upon arrival, police found the woman dead inside the campus with self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

Aghdam, who described herself as an animal rights activist and vegan bodybuilder, had a significant online presence with multiple YouTube channels and social media pages. Her YouTube channel, where she posted bizarre videos, had more than 5,000 subscribers and got many views but when YouTube introduced its new policies, the views on her video reduced.

In January 2017, she posted a video in which she vented about being censored by the company. She said the company “filtered” her videos and this has caused her to lose views and money. After the shooting, Aghdam’s YouTube channels and social media pages were all removed.

San Bruno Police Chief Ed Barberini said three people were taken to hospitals in San Francisco with gunshot wounds. A 36-year-old man was in critical condition, a 32-year-old woman was in serious condition and a 27-year-old woman was in fair condition following the shooting. The shooter’s father Ismail Aghdam said she had told family members, that the platform had stopped paying her for content she posted on the site. YouTube video creators can earn money from advertisements, but for various reasons the firm sometimes ‘de-monetizes’ channels meaning clips don’t run with adverts.

President Donald Trump and Google CEO, Sundar Pichai, have all tweeted about the ugly incident, said their thoughts and prayers are with everyone who have been affected by the incident.

Video: Pantless South African dancer Zodwa Wabantu removes fan’s wig after she threw a drink at her

There’s been a viral video of Pantless South African dancer Zodwa Wabantu, who performed at an Easter event held over the weekend, and it captures the faceoff the pantless dancer had with a fan.

Zodwa Wabantu took a fan’s wig in the video, after the rude fan threw a drink at her while she was on stage. Here are the videos which captured the moment;

Jack Khotso Papo

Jack Khotso Papo posted a video to his timeline.
Recently the South African dancer, Zodwa Wabantu, was deported from Zambia, based on her trademark personality which involves performing without wearing any underwear.

According to reports, the controversial woman was denied entrance upon landing at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport on Saturday, March 10, 2018. This prevented her from attending an album launch, where she had been scheduled for an erotic display. The report was confirmed by her promoter, Lucky Munakampe.

He told AFP News of the Zambian authorities’ decision to send back Wabantu to her home country.

“I can confirm that Zodwa has been deported back to South Africa by the immigration department,” says Munakampe.

A morally driven Zambia state has revealed its disinterest when it concerns accommodating individuals who have shown a low appreciation for good conduct and social etiquette.

This was reiterated by the country’s Religious Affairs Minister, Godfridah Sumaili.

“Zambia is a Christian nation where morality and ethics have to be followed. We don’t expect a woman to dance without underwear,” Sumaili mentioned in a chat with AFP

However Zodwa Wabantu felt like she became a pawn in a fight between Zambian authorities, and her promoters in the country, after she was deported from the country.

Zodwa told TshisaLIVE she arrived in Zambia late on Friday night ahead of a scheduled performance in the country on Saturday evening. She was stopped by immigration authorities, and escorted to a hotel with no real explanation about what was happening.

“They stopped me at the airport and said I couldn’t perform. They didn’t give me any reasons. I think our promoters were also in the dark. I didn’t even leave the hotel.”

Zodwa said she was not angry with Zambian authorities and hoped to return to the country soon.

“Leave them to fight, I will be back when they are ready to have me. There was so much fighting between them. I am just an entertainer who was invited to perform. I was stuck in the middle of it all. I would love to still perform in Zambia in the future.”

MI Abaga Disses Hushpuppi in New Song

‘You Stole Money!’- MI Abaga Disses Hushpuppi in New Song Lailasnews

Nigerian entertainers began beefing with the gucci lover, Hushpuppi after he took to his SnapChat to accuse them of wearing fake designer items. Some of those he embarassed include Phyno and Ice Prince.

While Ice Price generally ignored Hushpuppi, Phyno roasted him mercilessly and called him out in his collaborative song with Timaya called Telli Person. Also, singer KCee of the Five Star Music fame joined the party, dragging Hushpuppi on social media and interviews, and even called on the EFCC to investigate the socialite’s source of income.

All of this began in August 2017.

Now, MI Abaga has hopped on the wagon, albeit he is coming months late.

In new song off his 15-track album, Rendezvous, the Choc City boss accused him of engaging in criminal activities (“you stole money”), and daring to feuding with celebrities with stolen wealth (“you dissing big guys who got real money”).

Hushpuppi has replied MI’s, He wrote a length message on his Instagram page and also shared some personal stories. He wrote;

It’s not every time somebody says something about u that u have to jump at them, sometimes just look at the situation and say thank God. This is a very old pic of me taken at Pedro where M.I and d rest used to live by adaranijo market.
Let me share a quick motivational story with y’all. I remember vividly the day Ice prince was going to Malaysia to perform, he was rushing to the airport in a Toyota Camry eating noodles, they stopped to buy water and I was the one who sold Eva water to them that day and I hailed him, I saw the poster of him going to malaysia on the net and then I had my malaysia visa and was still looking for money for ticket.
The same malaysia he was paid to go and perform was where I was struggling for money for ticket to go and hustle but glory be to God today him and his “big dawg” need my name on their record to make sales, they need to talk about me to get attention, in a situation like that I’m just supposed to go to church and say THANK YOU GOD.
Like uncle M.I said to kelly handsome when he was in his prime, Why should I diss em and give them cheap promotion? The same line I’m using to you today while I’m in my prime and see u as a nobody too, but M.I I want u to have faith and hope and be motivated by my story, you too can make it and be big like me.
Don’t be frustrated and start misbehaving just yet, hope still dey front for pikin wey no lose hope. U see say we wey dey wear real Patek sef start from Gshock, no worry u go wear Gucci one day

Oprah Winfrey delivers powerful speech after becoming first black woman to win Cecil B. Demille award at Golden Globes

Media mogul, Oprah Winfrey, at the 75th Golden Globes award which was held last night won the Cecil B. Demille award, making her the first black woman to win the award since its inception in 1943.

Delivering her speech, Opray Winfrey who is a role model to many, said;

“Ah! Thank you. Thank you all. O.K., O.K. Thank you, Reese. In 1964, I was a little girl sitting on the linoleum floor of my mother’s house in Milwaukee, watching Anne Bancroft present the Oscar for best actor at the 36th Academy Awards. She opened the envelope and said five words that literally made history: “The winner is Sidney Poitier.” Up to the stage came the most elegant man I had ever seen. I remember his tie was white, and of course his skin was black. And I’d never seen a black man being celebrated like that. And I’ve tried many, many times to explain what a moment like that means to a little girl — a kid watching from the cheap seats, as my mom came through the door bone-tired from cleaning other people’s houses. All I can do is quote and say that the explanation’s in Sidney’s performance in “Lillies of the Field”: “Amen, amen. Amen, amen.” In 1982, Sidney received the Cecil B. DeMille Award right here at the Golden Globes, and it is not lost on me that at this moment there are some little girls watching as I become the first black woman to be given this same award.
It is an honor, and it is a privilege to share the evening with all of them, and also with the incredible men and women who inspired me, who challenged me, who sustained me and made my journey to this stage possible. Dennis Swanson, who took a chance on me for “A.M. Chicago”; Quincy Jones, who saw me on that show and said to Steven Spielberg, “Yes, she is Sophia in ‘The Color Purple’”; Gayle, who’s been the definition of what a friend is; and Stedman, who’s been my rock — just a few to name. I’d like to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, because we all know that the press is under siege these days.
But we also know that it is the insatiable dedication to uncovering the absolute truth that keeps us from turning a blind eye to corruption and to injustice. To tyrants and victims and secrets and lies. I want to say that I value the press more than ever before, as we try to navigate these complicated times. Which brings me to this: What I know for sure is that speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we all have. And I’m especially proud and inspired by all of the women who have felt strong enough and empowered enough to speak up and share their personal stories. Each of us in this room are celebrated because of the stories that we tell. This year we became the story. But it’s not just a story affecting the entertainment industry. It’s one that transcends any culture, geography, race, religion, politics or workplace.
So I want tonight to express gratitude to all the women who have endured years of abuse and assault, because they — like my mother — had children to feed and bills to pay and dreams to pursue. They’re the women whose names we’ll never know. They are domestic workers and farm workers; they are working in factories and they work in restaurants, and they’re in academia and engineering and medicine and science; they’re part of the world of tech and politics and business; they’re our athletes in the Olympics and they’re our soldiers in the military.
And they’re someone else: Recy Taylor, a name I know and I think you should know, too. In 1944, Recy Taylor was a young wife and a mother. She was just walking home from a church service she’d attended in Abbeville, Ala., when she was abducted by six armed white men, raped, and left blindfolded by the side of the road, coming home from church. They threatened to kill her if she ever told anyone, but her story was reported to the N.A.A.C.P., where a young worker by the name of Rosa Parks became the lead investigator on her case and together they sought justice. But justice wasn’t an option in the era of Jim Crow. The men who tried to destroy her were never persecuted. Recy Taylor died 10 days ago, just shy of her 98th birthday. She lived, as we all have lived, too many years in a culture broken by brutally powerful men. And for too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dared to speak their truth to the power of those men. But their time is up. Their time is up. Their time is up.
And I just hope that Recy Taylor died knowing that her truth — like the truth of so many other women who were tormented in those years, and even now tormented — goes marching on. It was somewhere in Rosa Parks’s heart almost 11 years later, when she made the decision to stay seated on that bus in Montgomery. And it’s here with every woman who chooses to say, “Me too.” And every man — every man — who chooses to listen. In my career, what I’ve always tried my best to do, whether on television or through film, is to say something about how men and women really behave: to say how we experience shame, how we love and how we rage, how we fail, how we retreat, persevere, and how we overcome. And I’ve interviewed and portrayed people who’ve withstood some of the ugliest things life can throw at you, but the one quality all of them seem to share is an ability to maintain hope for a brighter morning — even during our darkest nights.
So I want all the girls watching here and now to know that a new day is on the horizon! And when that new day finally dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room tonight, and some pretty phenomenal men, fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time when nobody ever has to say, ‘Me too,’ again. Thank you.”

Cardi B is looking to put on a regal performance at the royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which is set to take place at Windsor Castle next May.

Speaking with Capital XTRA, the Grammy-nominated rapper revealed that she would be willing to perform at the event free of charge.

“Why would you charge them?” she asked. “I would just do it because, oh snap, have you performed for a future king?” After pausing, she asked, “Is he gonna be the future king or his brother?”
Regardless of the royal rules, Cardi said she would love to meet Markle’s husband-to-be.

“I want to meet Prince Harry,” she explained. “Yeah, you met a president but did you met a prince?” She also said she enjoyed visiting Buckingham Palace. “It’s a fricken palace,” she exclaimed. “Oh my gosh. They really do the soldier stuff!”
