Photos: 62-year-old mother of 5 weds 75-year-old man in Delta State

Delta

It was a great re-union for a 62-year old woman who recently got married to her 75-year old lover as her children gave her out to the man for marriage.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the woman simply known as Geraldine from Isoko got married to Mr. Joshua from Urhobo in Delta State after their children consented to the marriage.

The marriage reception took place at Agbara where the woman lived with one of her children, while she moved to her new husband’s place after the marriage at Omiyale in Ejigbo, Lagos.

It was gathered that Geraldine separated from her husband after they had five grown up children while Mr Joshua lost his wife seven years ago.

It was learnt that they were lovers in their youth days and Jehovah Witness teachers before they separately married.

The marriage between Geraldine and Joshua started after the former love birds met at Agbara, expressed their emotions and resolved to convince their children to consent to their marriage.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that after their discussion, Geraldine first called her children and told them that she was lonely and needed a man that will take care of her emotional needs since she has separated from her husband.

She also reportedly told them that she had a lover before she married their father and the lover lost his wife some years ago and was also lonely.

She said since both of them were lonely, it was better for her to marry the man so that they will take care of each other.

It was gathered that the children were initially against the decision but when their mother threatened to kill herself if they did not support her, they soft pedalled. Thereafter they consented and gave her to Joshua as wife.

On the side of the man, it was the same thing because the children saw it as adding extra burden to the family but had no choice than to consent to make the man happy again.

When P.M.EXPRESS visited the new couple and asked to know how they were coping with the marriage, they said it was easy for them to settle down because they have known each other over the years.

On their sex life, the man said they were slowly active and declined to make further comments.

Ex-Nigerian footballer, John Fashanu arrested for N9m land fraud

John Fashanu

Retired footballer, John Fashanu, was reported arrested and held in an unnamed Abuja cell over an alleged dodgy land deal, police have revealed.

The former Wimbledon and England star spent two days locked up with 200 other inmates as police investigated claims he acted as a fixer in a scam to sell plots that were not for sale.

Global Excellence Online learnt that he was arrested at his home on the Sun City Estate, in Abuja, and taken in on suspicion of “criminal conspiracy”, detectives said.

It is alleged that earlier this year the former Gladiators presenter acted for a friend looking to buy land.

The pal claims he was told by Fashanu, 54, of two contacts who would help with buying “forgotten lands” – plots owned by chiefs that the state were unaware of.

He was allegedly given N9,550,000 in cash to fix the deal with his “boys”. But when the new “owner” went to claim his land, it is alleged he found it not for sale and not in the hands of local chiefs.

Fashanu, who appeared as character witness in a London court for former Delta State Governor, James Ibori, during his money laundering trial in 2012, was arrested last week to explain himself before being left in a packed cell, police sources said.

Officers are now looking for the other two men said to be involved. It is believed they are still in Nigeria.

Fashanu has agreed to pay the money back, although he denies wrongdoing.

A source close to the ex-footballer said: “This is a business deal between friends that has gone south and the police were asked to basically mediate.
“It will all be sorted very quickly. It was just a business deal.”
It is understood Fashanu was released after surrendering his British passport and agreeing to pay back a first installment of the money.

Sources said he looked to sell some of his cars to raise the cash as he waited for funds from his numerous business interests to clear in his bank account.

His Nigerian barrister, Hyp Egbune, confirmed he had this week paid a second instalment of the money owed.

He said: “The matter is being resolved. He won’t be charged to court is my understanding.
“We are repaying the money and that should settle this matter.
“The person who made the complaint has been a mutual friend for quite a number of years and we are more interested in keeping that relationship so we are making amends. We hope to do that as soon as we can. It is quite a lot of money so we hope to do it as soon as we can. We want to have this resolved.”
Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of operation, Hyacinth Dagala, said: “John Fashanu was arrested on July 17 in connection with an allegation of criminal conspiracy and obtaining the sum of N9,550,000 under false pretence.
“He was granted administrative bail on July 18 but because of his inability to produce the requisite surety on that day, he remained in detention until July 19 when he was released.”
This is not Fashanu’s first brush with the law.

During his playing days, in 1997, he was acquitted in a high-profile match-fixing trial along with goalkeepers Bruce Grobbelaar and Hans Segers. In 2015 he was arrested over an unlicensed gun found in his Nigerian house during a police raid. He ended up paying a fine.

Daddy Freeze compares Hushpuppi’s women wear to that of Jesus, shades Pastor Fatoyinbo

Daddy Freeze

Cool FM OAP, Daddy Freeze, has taken to Instagram to share a collage of Hushpuppi’s viral photo in female wear, Jesus and the General Overseer of COZA Pastor Fatoyinbo who he has always had a face-off with.

Daddy Freeze who asked which of the two Nigerian men dressed closest to the depiction we have of Jesus, went further to disclose that he’s not a grass eating sheep that has lost its senses. He also claimed he’s a man with an open mind, who has taken time out to study the Bible.

Here’s what he wrote;
“Which of these 2 Nigerian men is dressed closest to the depiction we have of Jesus?
When it’s time to collect tithe we are Jews, When it’s time to dress up, we suddenly become hip hop stars and conservative Englishmen.
It’s becoming obvious who colonized our minds and it’s definitely not Jesus; if it were, we won’t see anything wrong in hushpuppi’s attire.
When we ask why they don’t dress like Jesus, they reply “times have changed”. But tithe remains constant right?
Oh yes I can go there, I’m not a grass eating sheep that has lost its senses, I’m a man with an open mind, who has taken time out to study the Bible, the antiquities of the Jews and many ancient texts, so as to broaden my perspective and make me immune to bullshit.
Many of our ‘spiritual’ fathers, have become complacent in their teachings, and our minds have failed to evolve above their mediocrity.
The time to free ourselves from this mental bondage is now, failure to do so, is dancing with great peril. ~FRZ

23-year old man kills motorcycle rider over N150

motocycle rider
23-year-old jobseeker, Ibrahim Sulaimon from Kogi State, have been arrested by officers of the Nigerian Police for reportedly killing a motorcycle rider, Rafiu Gafar, in the Ajuwon area of Ogun State over an argument on money.

The father of one, who was hit with plywood on the head several times, was confirmed dead at a private hospital in the area.

According to Punch Metro, a family member who pleaded anonymity said the victim left his wife and child for his daily bread on July 13 when the incident happened.

He said it was four days later that a policeman informed the family that he had been killed.

He said, “He went out that day for work. He always plied Ajuwon and its environs. But everybody was surprised when he did not return home. We searched for him for four days without any trace. “Nobody knew anything until a policeman came from the Ajuwon Police Division and showed us pictures of his dead body. He told us that he was hit with plywood on the head several times that Thursday when he went missing, over mere N150.” A witness, Jimi Ola, told PUNCH Metrothat Rafiu picked Sulaiman and a co-traveller, identified as Ibrahim Ahmed, at a Zenith Bank branch along the Ajuwon-Akute Road en route to their destination at Reality Plaza.

He explained that the parties agreed to a N150 fare.

He said, “When they got to the plaza, they gave him N500 and demanded a change of N350. “But Rafiu told them that he didn’t have the change and Ahmed offered to go inside the house to collect a N200 note from his wife. “However, because he was taking too long, Rafiu started complaining that they should hurry so that he could continue his work. “There was a verbal exchange between him and the suspect. The suspect became angry, picked plywood used to cover a cesspit, and hit him on the head.” PUNCH Metro was told that the suspect abandoned the victim on the road.
After about three hours, some community leaders were said to have alerted the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Ajuwon Police Division, who ordered a patrol team to the scene.

When the policemen arrived at the scene, they were said to have met Rafiu unconscious and took him to Tamara Hospital, a private hospital at Imole-Ayo bus stop.

The victim was reported to be bleeding through his ears, nostrils and mouth as a result of the attack.

The doctor was said to have informed the cops that blood had blocked his breathing organs.

During an operation to save the victim, he reportedly gave up. A death certificate, signed by the hospital, indicated that Rafiu suffered from ‘Airway Obstruction’ and died at about 3.45am on July 14.

The suspect, Sulaimon, an indigene of Kogi State, confessed to the crime in his statement to the police.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos becomes world’s richest man

Amazon
There is a new name at the top of the world wealth league. The founder of Amazon has overtaken Microsoft’s Bill Gates to claim the title of world’s richest person.

Jeff Bezos leapfrogged Gates, who has been the richest man on the planet since 2013, after a rise in the share price of Amazon ahead of its latest results due later on Thursday.

According to a real-time billionaires index compiled by Forbes, the rise pushed the value of Bezos’s fortune to $91bn (£69bn) – compared with Gates’ wealth of $90bn. Their riches are calculated on the share prices of their respective companies and at the current values, Bezos’s stake is twice as big as the carmarker Ford.

Bezos – born in 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico – keeps a relatively low profile, but has used some of the wealth he has amassed to buy the Washington Post and invest in space travel through Blue Origin, a company he founded in 2000.

He founded Amazon in 1994 when he sold books from his garage in Seattle before expanding into a huge range of other products and capturing the global rush to shop online. Amazon now accounts for 43% of everything sold online in the US and 64 million people have signed up for its Prime service, which gives access to free deliveries and video streaming.

Amazon shares have soared this year, making the company worth more than $500bn and boosting Bezos’s wealth as he owns 17% of the company. He also has a number of other investments, including in Google, Uber, Twitter and Airbnb, worth more than $5bn.

At the start of 2017, Bezos was ranked fourth-richest in the world, behind Gates, the investor Warren Buffett and Amancio Ortega, who founded Inditex, the company behind retailer Zara.

Inside the managerial mind of Jurgen Klopp By Melissa Reddy

Image result for photos of Jurgen Klopp

“How is he?”

“Is his family doing well?”

“I remember him telling me the story of how he met his wife, are they still together?"

A gripped Jurgen Klopp continues to rattle off his questions. The subject matter is a former player that featured fewer than five times for Liverpool’s manager at a previous club, almost a decade ago, but it was more than enough for the German to feel an affinity towards him.

This is the norm and not the exception for the Reds boss, who made a dart towards Jordon Ibe immediately after Bournemouth’s 4-3 victory over his side last December. The winger had reached his ceiling at Anfield and was a casualty of Klopp’s first off-season window in a £15 million switch to the south coast, but the support and affection from his ex-gaffer remains.

Relationships with those Klopp used to train, whether at Mainz or Borussia Dortmund too, tend to survive long after a professional severance. It is because he has a genuine curiosity in his players well beyond their abilities on a pitch.

What a footballer can do in and out of possession is easy to establish, but the deeper layers - who they are, what they believe in, how they’ve reached this point, what drives them, what awaits them when they depart training - are the real details.

It is why Klopp was absolutely perplexed that a member of staff had no idea the club’s newest signing, Andy Robertson, is due to become a father. He scolded: “How can you not know that? That’s the biggest thing in his life now. Come on!”

The guffawing, gigantic hug-giving caricature of Klopp is the dominant perspective of his methodology, but it masks his more cerebral tools.

Take, for instance, the WhatsApp group the manager created in order for the squad to stay in contact with him over the past two summers.

Part team-bonding, part fact-finding mission, it allows Klopp to extend his management sphere in a relaxed environment.

Last year, some players sent in footage of themselves on the treadmill as an update on their efforts to stay in shape. That received the response ‘ah interesting, so you think that is what running is? Incorrect,’ from Klopp. He provided reasons as to why he didn’t want them on those machines, and this time around, the imagery posted was of cardiovascular work being done on beaches, tracks, and in parks.

Message delivered.

On the 118th floor of Hong Kong’s grandiose Ritz-Carlton, in a room at the OZONE sky bar with sweeping views of the impressive Victoria Harbour, Klopp provides a further panorama of his approach.

He is fascinated by the psychological elements of the game, and thus, highlights Liverpool’s insecurities as a significant factor behind the team’s slump at the turn of the year.

“I would say we were completely confident until December 31 when we played Manchester City,” the 50-year-old recalls to Goal. “It was an outstanding battle for both sides with the 1-0 deserved, but anything could have happened in that match.

“Two days later, we played against Sunderland, a completely different game, but that was a draw. They are a deep-defending side, but twice we got past them and they needed two penalties to get a point, but immediately afterwards there was the feeling from the players of ‘oh, maybe we’re not good enough. We’ve wasted our chance. We had the situation and we didn’t use it.'

“It was only one game! Everybody gave points away, even Chelsea - okay not too often because they were champions at the end, but it happened. It’s all about how you handle these situations and it’s something we are really working on to be stronger in.”

Klopp, in-between sips of an Americano - much-needed fuel during a manic week navigating commercial obligations on pre-season tour in the skyscraper-heavy city - describes his annoyance at the influence of external opinions over Liverpool’s personnel.

“We had two major issues in January obviously: not enough confidence as we should have had in ourselves, and too many injuries plus Sadio [Mane] being away at the Africa Cup of Nations while the games didn’t seem to stop,” he says.

“Then in February, we suffered from the intensity of the month before, and we were back in March. We won games again, but then people were saying, ‘it’s not the same football, they are struggling,’ and this again gave the players doubt.
“They listen to these voices, the whole club listens to these voices that go ‘oh, it’s again like this, they don’t have Plan B for deep-defending sides, they can only play one way.'
“We smashed teams at the start of last season by altering our style in different ways to play to our strengths and minimise the opposition’s like against West Brom at Anfield. We limited their set-piece situations, which we know they are really dangerous from.

“The talk of Plan B shows a lack of understanding. In the moment when you are not feeling confident, you cannot change too many things - that’s insecurity.

“It’s not about showing what you can do - like ‘hey, here is Plan D, F, Q!’ My job is not to prove that I can do 1000 different techniques or no-looking coaching or whatever, it is to do what is best for the players I have, with our skills, in the situation we are in.

“When I hear or read these things about us, I know I 100 per cent do not listen. But oh my god, everybody else listens, so we have to block that out and focus on us and our way.”

How does Klopp ensure that his voice is amplified amidst all the noise, especially as coverage - traditionally and from fans - increases in both output and its unforgiving nature?

“This is very important. What we need to create is where they understand completely that the only criticism they need to take is mine - not because I’m the only one that knows anything, but because I’m the one they have to pay attention to,” he explains.

“I’m the one giving them the direction together with our backroom and support team. So it makes no sense to trust what people who are not involved in the process think.
“I will use the example of Arjen Robben. Whatever the world says about him, or thinks about him - he delivers.
“One time, he will miss the easy pass and everyone will moan ‘why did he shoot?’. Next time, he will not pass and shoot from that angle again - goal! - then it’s ‘oh, good idea to shoot from there’.
“He doesn’t care what the opinions from outside are, he knows how his team needs him to use his skills.
“The rule is that it is better that you have 11 players doing the same thing wrong, than every player doing what he wants.”

Klopp zooms in on how the normal thought process of a footballer could be altered if he bends to criticism.

“For example, with Roberto Firmino people say he does not score enough,” he begins his commentary.

“What?! He is the best player without scoring with how well he reads the game for the benefit of others. Outstanding! But then what if he starts thinking ‘oh, I need more goals’ and starts shooting from all over the place when usually, he would play a clever ball and make a run to open up the space?

“There needs to be one plan, one voice, one belief. It will not always be perfect, because we are not perfect, but it is our way.”

Klopp understands the issue of self-doubt is synonymous with a young squad in a phase of progress, but also underscores what a rousing position Liverpool are in.

“I’m really positive when I look at these boys I have, with their attitude, their skill and willingness to learn,” he enthuses.
“Each player that is here has a reason why they are at Liverpool - a very good reason.
“With this knowledge and with our foundation, we can’t just be happy with how we are or what we achieved last season. We have to work, work, work and reach the next level already and the one higher and higher than that.
“Just look at Trent [Alexander-Arnold]! What a potential! He has to improve on his defending now though, that is the aim. Yes, he is a kid, but the moment he can defend like a man, he can play regularly in the Premier League.
"As long as he defends like a kid and attacks like man, then you have only half of this amazing talent.
"I cannot change this, only he can, and the players know and are excited about the improvement they can make.
“Look at Ben [Woodburn], what a player! He was put as a No.8 against a strong Crystal Palace side and it was like he has never been in any other position in his life even though he’s only been there a few times.
"When Gini [Wijnaldum] pushed up, he dropped to become our ‘six’ so game intelligence is a big skill of Ben’s and he can only get better.
“Look throughout the squad - can Roberto still develop? Of course. Divock Origi? Yes. Sadio? He hasn’t even got started yet!
“Players make the right decisions when they have confidence, when they don’t have it, then they feel ‘next pass needs to be the goal’ or ‘now we are under pressure and need to force it’.
“No! You stick to what you’re doing, try, try and try again. Each missed chance is not a failure, it is information - use it and go again.”

Klopp will hope these messages are delivered, digested and acted upon just as his WhatsApps have been.

How 3 women gang raped a Pastor [Photo]

Gang-raped

For allegedly detaining and raping a Pastor who came to demand the money one of them was owing him, 3 women who gang-raped this Pastor from a local church in Cowdray Park suburb in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, have been arraigned before Western Commonage magistrate Mr Lungile Ncube, and charged with aggravated indecent assault.

It was gathered that Sandra Ncube (21), Riamuhetsi Mlauzi (23) and Mongiwe Mpofu (25) who reside at the same house in Cowdray Park suburb,  led the victim into the house before Ncube held him by the waist and fondled his private part.

Here’s what Prosecutor Petros Shoko said;

“On July 14, 2017, at around 7PM, the complainant went to the three accused persons’ residence to collect his money from Riamuhetsi Mlauzi, which she owed him,” said the prosecutor.
“They forced him to lie on the bed and undressed him. Ncube sat on his chest and he tried to push her away. However, Mlauzi, who was in the same room, held his legs together and sat on top, pressing him against the bed,” said Mr Shoko.
Mpofu, who was in another room, allegedly brought condoms and placed one on the complainant’s manhood. She then allegedly assisted to hold the complainant down as he was resisting.

“Ncube had sexual intercourse with the complainant once, without his consent,” said Mr Shoko.
However the suspects denied raping the victim as they claimed they were only playing around, though they admitted indecently assaulting him.

“We were just playing around Your Worship. I did not think that he would take it seriously,” said Ncube.
Mpofu distanced herself from the incident and said she had only been called to bring condoms.
“I was not part of it. They just called me to bring condoms. We keep condoms around the house and there were some in my room, so I just brought them,” said Mpofu.
Mlauzi said she wanted to “fix” the pastor, whom she accused of having a tendency of walking in on her when she was bathing.

Mlauzi said:
“He always walks in on me bathing and claims to be unmoved as a man of God. I just wanted to see if he was going to be aroused or not. I did not plan to execute the whole rape thing, Your Worship.”
The Chronicle reports that Magistrate Ncube asked Mlauzi what she aimed to benefit from the attack, and she said she just wanted to prove to the pastor that he had feelings like everybody else.

“I wanted him to see that he was not special and was not immune to sexual arousal. When I touched him, he immediately got aroused. And that is all we wanted to see,” she said.
The matter was reported at Cowdray Park Police Station and the complainant was referred to Mpilo Central Hospital for a medical examination. A medical report was produced in court as evidence.
