Must read!! Kogi High Court Judge freed

Kogi State High Court Judge, Justice Samuel Obayomi who was abducted on May 25 has been released by kidnappers after spending 34 days in his abductor’s custody.

Nasir Ajanah have both confirmed the release. The CP in Lokoja Sunday said Abayomi was released Saturday night between 10:00 and 11:30. Ogunjemilusi who could not say where and how the judge was released or if any ransom was paid however disclosed that he had been taken to a safe place but he was yet to be released to his family.

Chief Judge of the State, Justice Nasir Ajanah while confirming Obayomi’s release said, “We thank God for that but I cannot give you more information than you already have.” Obayomi, the High Court Judge of Ebogogo in Adavi Local Government of the State was kidnapped on Monday, May 25, at about 8:45 on his way to the office by a three-member gang kidnappers.

The judge whose police orderly, Cpl Usman Musa was shot dead on the spot was driven away in his Toyota Yaris car from the GRA in Okene by the kidnappers who latter demanded for N150 million ransom for his release.
