37 Year Old Man Allegedly Rapes A Minor In Ogun State [Photo]

Policemen attached to Sagamu Division of Ogun State police command on Saturday at 6:pm arrested a 37-year-old man, identified as Dabeshi Umoru, for defiling a minor around Dadajira Street, Sabo, Sagamu.

Vanguard learned the father of the victim, who reported the incident to the police, stated that the suspect had forccibly had unlawful carnal knowledge of her daughter on Friday evening.

It was gathered that the suspect did not deny the allegation. The matter will be charged to court immediately the case is transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence, Eleweran, Abeokuta to enable the command gather credible evidence to arraign the suspect.


However, the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, CP Abdulmajid Ali, condemned the act and vowed to deal decisively with anyone caught in the barbaric act in the state. He also cautioned parents and guardians not to entrust their young ones in the hands of undesirable and criminally-minded elements.

In another development,  policemen attached to Onipanu Division of the Command have arrested one Ayodele Adedeji, from Jackross, Iyana Iyesi, Ota, for parading himself as a soldier in Nigerian Army oufit on Friday.

It was learned that during interrogation, Ayodele Adedeji, the suspect,  confessed to being a fake soldier who had been in the dirty business of impersonation for long time. He stated further that his elder brother was in the Army and he died some years back before he picked up all his uniforms and accoutrements for use.

Items recovered from the suspect included two pairs of complete Nigerian Army uniforms, fake Army identity card, jungle booth, dummy gun, and accoutrements of the Nigerian Army.
