A couple of weeks after she premiered her latest movie entitled Dark, controversy continues to trail actress and movie producer, Rukky Sanda’s extreme display of flesh during the event which took place at Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos.
According to Funke Eyitayo, a Lagos based nurse: “This is crazy! How could anyone dress like this in the name of entertainment? How could a responsible woman dress like this? As you can see she lives nothing to the imagination as everything is just hanging out. This is most immodest.”
For Tara Blossom: “I think this is a spin-off from the leprous American culture which is destroying our values as Africans. An African woman should be properly dressed because she is going to be a mother someday; I guess Kim Kardashian must be one of her role models.”
However, Frank Oriole, a Lagos based businessman has a different view.
“For heaven’s sake, this is showbiz and showbiz is all about showing yourself. You don’t expect such a pretty actress to dress like a nun to a movie premier. If you’ve got it please flaunt it!”
“Times are changing and we must come to terms with it or become obsolete. Rukky is no doubt one of Nollywood’s most talented actresses and she has a right to dress the way she pleases, I want her critics to note that this is not 1975 but 2015,” a fan who simply identified herself as Miriam opined.
