Masquerades Attack Church In Ondo, Flog Pastors And Worshippers

According to the Vanguard, a Church service was reportedly disrupted by four masquerades who flogged the pastors and the worshipers in the Epinmi Akoko area of Ondo state. According to the report, one of the masquerades, identified as Tunde Arohunmolase, was arrested while others fled after flogging the pastors and worshipers

 Speaking on the matter, a police source said that the masquerades invaded the Christ Apostolic Church while the service was going on and brought it to an abrupt end after their flogging. Two of the pastors were reportedly injured by the time the masquerades left the church and Vanguard learnt that when the masquerades arrived the church premises, they were challenged by some of the church workers whom they overpowered before going straight for their target. The matter ‎was later reported at the police station and one of the suspects was apprehended.

 Police detectives are currently probing the reason for the attack of the church by the masqueraders during the service. The pastors attacked have been identified as Jacob Ogunmola and Kehinde Ilori, and the suspect, Tunde Arohunmolase is currently in Police custody.
