About 144 virgins from the Olumba Obu`s fold are warming up to organize a lavish banquet for their father in the lord, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, to mark his birthday which comes up in November.

An alleged self-confessed pastor, Sadeeq Mustapha, is facing trial at a Lagos State Magistrate Court sitting at Ogba, Agege where he has been charged with alleged attempt to rape two men.

Sadeeq (27) allegedly attempted to forcefully have sexual intercourse with a transporter, Oladimeji Taiwo, and a teacher, Yusuf Idowu, on October 9 and 10. The incident allegedly took place at No 9 Disu Akogun Street, Dopemu, Lagos.

President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that he will not lose sleep over criticism and that he wants to be remembered as a president who fought corruption to a standstill.

Customs orders officers to declare assets

The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) has ordered all its serving officers to declare their assets, The Nation has learnt.

The directive came just as the service retired 29 senior officers in addition to five others whose voluntary retirements were announced on Thursday.

Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos yesterday convicted seven men to 84 years imprisonment for illegal and unlawful dealing in 1,459 metric tonnes of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol. Two suspected members of a five-man robbery gang terrorizing Aba and environs have been arrested by the Mobile Police Force, MOPOL 55, for allegedly robbing workers and customers of a hotel located at the city. The suspects identified as Chikadibia Orji, Ifeanyi Clement alias ‘Don’ and others still at large were accused of taking advantage of power outage during a party holding at the hotel to dispossess their victims of cash and property worth over N200, 000.

Medical Doctor kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Bayelsa

Insecurity in Bayelsa State ahead of the December 5 governorship election worsened Friday following the abduction of a medical doctor in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state.
