British Journalists Allegedly Become Members of ISIS

Two British journalists and an Iraqi fixer working for Vice News have been charged by a Turkish judge in Diyarbakir of being members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said President Mohammadu Buhari was operating as a president of the Northern Nigeria only, describing steps taken by the president since May 29, 2015 as tainted in ethnic and tribal colouration, which is inimical to the unity of Nigeria.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Power, Ambassador Godknows Igali, on Monday said electricity has been stable in the country lately because there has not been any case of gas pipeline vandalism.

The governor works even on Sundays! Governor Fayose was spotted earlier today as he drove himself across the city for the inspection of the Channelization Project at Arowa-Darlimore area of Ado Ekiti.

The extensively channelization project is being done with concrete embankments to stop flooding in the area. The governor however decided to drive himself in a local tipper lorry.

The Department of State Services has arrested 20 suspected Boko Haram commanders in Lagos, Kano, Enugu, Plateau and Gombe states.

The suspects, who were arrested between July 8 and August 25, 2015, include the masterminds of the suicide attacks in Potiskum, Kano, Zaria, and Jos.

DSS arrests 21 Boko Haram suspects in Lagos, Enugu, others

The Department of State Services, DSS, said yesterday that it had arrested notable commanders and front line members of the notorious Islamic sect, Boko Haram, from different parts of the country, especially, those responsible for the coordination and execution of the suicide attacks in Potiskum, Kano, Zaria and Jos.

At least 68 people were killed while several others sustained injuries as Boko Haram insurgents invaded Baanu Village in Nganzai local government area of Borno State on Friday night.
