Lagos Pastor to face trial for allegedly attempting to rape 2 men



An alleged self-confessed pastor, Sadeeq Mustapha, is facing trial at a Lagos State Magistrate Court sitting at Ogba, Agege where he has been charged with alleged attempt to rape two men.


Sadeeq (27) allegedly attempted to forcefully have sexual intercourse with a transporter, Oladimeji Taiwo, and a teacher, Yusuf Idowu, on October 9 and 10. The incident allegedly took place at No 9 Disu Akogun Street, Dopemu, Lagos.

Court sentence 7 oil thieves to 84 yrs imprisonment


Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos yesterday convicted seven men to 84 years imprisonment for illegal and unlawful dealing in 1,459 metric tonnes of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol. The court sentenced each of the convicts to a jail term of 12 years each  commencing Friday after the Judge found them guilty of the five count charge preferred against them.

Two suspected members of a five-man robbery gang terrorizing Aba and environs have been arrested by the Mobile Police Force, MOPOL 55, for allegedly robbing workers and customers of a hotel located at the city. Insecurity in Bayelsa State ahead of the December 5 governorship election worsened Friday following the abduction of a medical doctor in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state.

The doctor identified simply as Ekwueme was kidnapped a day after a similar fate befell Madam Ebifeghe Dikoro, 105 years old mother of Chief Wilberforce Igiri, the running mate to the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief Timipre Sylva.
