See what Military outfits did to FUTO student after he was wrongly accused of stealing [Photo]

A student of the Federal University of Owerri, Imo State, has been brutalized by the school’s military outfit, Xboys.

According to reports, some female students residing in New Orleans Lodge, Eziobodo, had called on the Xboys that their phones were stolen overnight.

It was gathered that their description of the thief matched that of a male student, who was subsequently apprehended and beaten up. It was later discovered that he was innocent.

How Security guard of Federal Girls College Plateau arrange secondary schoolgirls for men for N5000

It has been discovered that a security guard in Federal Government Girls’ College (FGGC) Langtang in Plateau State pimps female students out to strangers for N5,000.

An undercover investigation carried out by The Cable yielded this shocking finding. The investigation also led to the discovery that male teachers are known to summon female students into their offices during night prep, between 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Teachers claim to be aware of this but say they have no evidence to implicate the offenders.

FGGC Langtang is a girls-only boarding school with little or no security. The school’s hostel has no fence such that it is very easy for strangers and locals to gain access to the hostel without being challenged. Local residents now walk through the school as shortcuts to their homes and strangers gain easy access to the hostels. The reporter who went undercover to uncover what has been going on in the school was able to enter the girls’ hostel without any restriction.

The undercover reporter got in contact with the security guard employed to protect the students but who chose to make extra money on the side by pimping the senior students out, and he was more than willing to provide the girls for a fee. The undercover reporter was able to get the guards phone number easily because it is common knowledge amongst men who have needed him to provide girls for them when they are in Langtang.

The guard gave assurances that getting girls out of the hostel “is no big deal”. Bani Guest House, a popular lodge along the Langtang highway, is well known to the girls, the guard said. He explained that most of them attend Sunday evening parties at Bani, where their boyfriends come to wait for them. When the reporter who disguised as a businessman met the guard, he told him that the girls in SS3 who were rounding off their final exams would make the perfect picks.

“I am giving you outgoing students,” he said. “There are some writing exams, it’s just to get a clue to know them and ask if they can do this for me. There are girls who do ‘runs’ but the issue is money.”

The guard, who then requested for money so he could move around and also “sort out” the girls’ transportation, revealed that there are a couple of schoolgirls who are into the act of sneaking out of the school premises.

The N5,000 was solely for the guard while the girls bargained with the customers after they’ve been pimped out to them.

“You’ll discuss how much you’ll give them,” the guard told the reporter as he pocketed the N5,000 given him as upfront for the task. “All those girls are small girls and they don’t know money much. If you treat them well, they will look for you if you’re still around.”

The guard had left his duty post. For hours, he was moving around the school, searching for girls who could be available under the tight deadline.

“I have arranged two girls now, and they will come to meet you when they are done with their exams today,” he later told the reporter over the phone.

The girls couldn’t make it eventually because they wrote their papers late and feared coming out of the school could jeopardize the other papers the following morning, the guard explained. He assured the reporter the girls would turn up after writing the day’s papers but at this point, the reporter decided to abort the mission for professional reasons.

One of the newly graduated girls, who later spoke with the reporter, said this particular guard is the go-to man pimping girls to strangers.

The girl said: “He used to be a kitchen staff. He impregnated one of the girls in the hostel, you know the hostel is close to the kitchen, and I think as a punishment, he was moved from the kitchen to the gate.”

One of the officials of Langtang’s old girls’ association disclosed that a year ago, they heard that girls were being pimped, but they could not substantiate the allegation.

The lady who spoke on the condition of anonymity said: “The pimp, we were told, wasn’t even a security guard but one of the male teachers. We have tried to investigate but we couldn’t find anything. We confronted the former principal — who is now retired — with this and she said there was no such thing going on. There was a specific teacher allegedly doing this with SS3 girls but no one could give his name or any useful information in getting to the root of the matter.”

She added: “We even got a girl whom we were told knew this pimp, and when we called her, she denied knowing a thing. So, we had to disregard the rumour, because if you tell us something is happening, you should be able to give us the needed information to work with. If we had a name at least, we could have done something covertly with some of the old girls who now teach at the college, and our Jos chapter could have showed up in the school unannounced.”

One of the graduating girls said she is not sure if girls are being pimped to strangers, but she knows at least three members of staff whom she claimed made sexual advances to the girls.

She said: “One teacher used to call girls to his office in the night. But, I don’t know what he used to do with them. One of the girls told us that when she went to his office, he only asked her out, and that when it’s weekend she would follow him to his house.”

Another teacher, it was alleged, would call girls to his office in the night, and it is not clear what he did with them.

“It is during prep time, 7-9pm, that we see girls going to the teacher’s office,” the graduating student said. She named all the teachers involved, but for legal reasons, TheCable chose to withhold their identities.

The girl further disclosed that at the ICT department, where girls go for biometrics for examination purposes, the man in charge — under the pretense of guiding them — would touch them sexually.

“That one will be touching girls’ breasts and buttocks,” the girl said.

The ministry of education, which directly supervises Federal Government Colleges, says it is not aware of the allegations of pimping at Langtang.

Chineye Ihuoma, director of press at the federal ministry of education, told TheCable: “If you have any proof, the best way is for you to write us formally and we will conduct proper investigations. But, how can a security man in the school be pimping girls to a stranger? How can?”

Though pimping out girls and sexual harassment is an open secret in the school, no one wants to speak for fear of the resulting backlash. Hence, the question, “How can?” continues to come up, thereby preventing further investigation into the case and corrective measures to stop and revert the decay in the school.

Asides the sexual harassment that goes on in this once prestigious institution, there are other problems the school faces and that includes the problem of insecurity and lack of infrastructures. The hostel has a broken fence and no protection from outsiders. Also, the students lack clean water. There is only one borehole in the hostel area hence students use water from an untreated well. They also sleep on broken beds and study in hostile classrooms while sitting on benches.

Speaking of the lack of security, a member of staff said: “People walk through the school premises unchallenged.

“It has become a shortcut for staff and people who now walk through the school to the main road and or their houses. And sadly, there are some boys who come in through the unfenced area to steal items from the girls’ lockers.”

One of the students said that some adventurous girls sneak out through the unfenced area to attend parties and meet with boyfriends in town.

Another student said: “Students are not allowed to go out of the school when in session, but the stubborn ones do sneak out to attend parties. They go through the back-of-school because there is no fence, but some go through the gate because the security is not so tight.”

Officials of the school were unwilling to speak on the record, instead, they directed the reporter to speak with the Ministry of Education in Abuja.

“I am a civil servant. I would advise that you speak to the ministry of education in Abuja,” Laura Dogo, the new principal, said when asked to comment on the various issues.

EFCC recovers over N11.9m for Redeemed Christian Church of God

One of the regional Ministers of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Mark Barango, has commended the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for being “an agent of transformation.

He said this while receiving a sum of N11, 984, 844, 11(Eleven Million, Nine Hundred and Eighty Four Thousand,  Eight Hundred and Forty Four Naira, Eleven Kobo only), recovered and returned to the church by the EFCC”.

Mr. Ishaq Salihu, South- South Zonal Head of the EFCC, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State handed over the money to him. The money was stolen by a banker and the Account Officer of the church, Ameh Cyril Idakwoji,  in a web of fraudulent diversion and suppression of the finances of the church.

According to the EFCC, troubles came for Idakwoji when Access Bank Plc petitioned the EFCC about some missing funds in the accounts of one of its corporate customers in Port Harcourt. The customer, Jepthah International School, East- West Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, could not access N37,000,000( Thirty- Seven Million Naira only) in its account with the bank.

The bank traced the scam to one of its staff, Idakwoji and named him the mastermind of the fraudulent dealings. Idakwoji doubled as the Account Officer of Jepthah International School and Redeemed Christian Church of God, Region 5, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

He defrauded the RCCG by suppressing and diverting  cheques and cash meant for the Church to cover his shady deals in Jepthah International School. He was covering up by giving fake Statements of Accounts to both the school and the church.

To execute his criminal schemes in RCCG, he forged the letter heads of the church’s Region 5 and the signatures of the Pastor in charge of the Region. He also forged the signature of the church’s accountant and attached same to the August 2017 Salary Schedule of Jepthah International school to the tune of ( N7, 129, 128. 78).

The Church denied giving instruction for the payment of the salary of the school. Investigations by the Commission uncovered all the criminal movements of the fund of the church by Idakwoji and a sum of N11, 987, 844.11 found to have been stolen have now been recovered and returned to the church.

It will be recalled that a sum of N36,000,000( Thirty Six Million Naira), recovered from Idakwoji,  was returned to the management of Jepthah International School by the EFCC in September.

While presenting the money to the church, Salihu emphasized the commitment of the EFCC to bursting any financial and economic scam, no matter how complex. He reiterated the zero- tolerance of the Commission for corrupt practices and warned criminal elements in the country to desist from fraudulent practices. ” Crime and criminality are not limited to any group of people. They have no creed, no gender and no religion. The RCCG is a large church and we are pleased to have been able to recover the stolen money for the church”, he said.

An appreciative Pastor Barango promised that the church will continue to pray for the continued success of the Commission. (EFCC.ORG)

“Providing I am free, I can’t fight Joe Bloggs from anywhere – I have to fight championship fighters. These are fighters I have to compete with.

‘I can’t marry a man who collects salary and a man older than 45’ – Chesan Nze

Nollywood actress, singer and skin care therapist, Chineye Esther Anakulu Nze, simply known as Chesan Nze, from Anambra State is looking like the genuine article that may very well raise the bar in the movie industry.

Nollywood actress, singer and skin care therapist, Chineye Esther Anakulu Nze, simply known as Chesan Nze, from Anambra State is looking like the genuine article that may very well raise the bar in the movie industry.

She attended Apata Memorial High School, then Nnamdi Azikwe University for her banking and finance degree. She’s currently at Zenith College University in Accra, Ghana for her business management Bachelor’s degree.

In this interview with Vanguard she opens up on her journey into entertainment, touching on love, sex and marriage.

Can you share with us the story of your journey into the entertainment world?

It is an interesting journey filled with ups and downs. I started out as a chorister in a church and began singing. I was doing more of gospel music. But my acting started as a child, back when I was in primary two. I started with Nestle Nido’s show, and I won Coca-Cola and Indomine shows by Sound Sultan, with W4.

I would say my heart was more with singing than acting but when people were relating me to Tonto Dikeh, saying I look a lot like her and that I should be into acting because I have the looks, the character and carriage, I knew acting must be my destiny. But the real push came when a friend introduced me to a producer. I must say the industry is full of the good, the bad and the ugly people after you for different reasons.

So, after my friend introduced me to the producer, some months later I got a call to come to Enugu for a shoot. I was so happy because I felt the real journey had started for me. I packed my things and headed out to Enugu, thinking the big moment had finally arrived. After finishing the first scene I asked for the other scenes but I was told that was all they had for me.

It was a waka-pass role, a one-scene role. I never believed I travelled all the way from Lagos to Enugu for a waka-pass role. When I was offered the money I rejected it. Then I knew it would be a long journey. I never knew one of the crew members was watching me. He later told me he admired my courage and passion and he linked me to Tchidi Chikere. When Mr. Chikere saw me, he told me that I have the face and attitude, that, I should use the talent well.

I told him ‘no problem’. I was in Benin when he called me that he had cast me for a job. The job was Moon Maid, and I featured in it alongside Mercy Johnson-Okojie, Mike Ezuruonye, Lizzy Gold Onuwaje, Nicole Bana and others.

When I got to the location and the director saw me, he said first of all I have the face of an actress and that I remind him of Tonto Dikeh and Nicki Minaj. From there I started getting different jobs, and different producers started calling me.

Moon Maid was the miracle job that brought me out. I still thank God for Mr Tchidi Chikere; he has really helped me in the movie industry.

Would you say it has been financially lucrative in the last four years for you?

Well, not 100%, let me say 50% . Some jobs don’t pay well while others have been very good. There was a Chichi’s job I did and it paid very well. But I can never forget my first trip to Enugu. I guess they wanted me to feel the stress of becoming an actress. Down the years now I smile because things are really looking up. No doubts the road has been rough but it can only get better.

As at last year I was part of Glo’s Professor Johnbull’s TV series and I have done some TV commercials as well.

Is it true that you can’t make it in the industry without getting laid ?

Like I said earlier, the industry is full of bad and good people. If you are not lucky you meet the bad people first. And if you are lucky you meet the good people who would help you and set you on the easy path. I must say it’s easier for men than women, especially beautiful women, because everyone wants to have a taste of you.

If you are good, your talent will see you through but if you are not, they will only use and dump you. I have the potential and they saw the talent in me, I was accepted, so why would they want to sleep with me when they know I’m good?

Did you come to Nollywood as a virgin?

Well, I didn’t.

So, why wouldn’t you have your fun while getting the jobs?

No. I am a very disciplined person, except I like you and I want to date you. If I don’t like you there is nothing you can do to get me.

Don’t tell us there aren’t men fine enough in Nollywood to win your heart ?

I have not dated anyone in the industry; it’s just like you’re in a firm and you start dating people in the firm, you will lose your respect. When you get laid by one they use that opportunity to pass you around and you become useless in no time.

I think it’s not right to mess around where you work.

What is the competition like in Nollywood among ladies to get roles?

There are too many women in the industry and some of them are so desperate to the extent that they could go extra miles just to take your own role from you.

Another problem comes from people who are older in the industry, they don’t want the younger ones to take over. Most times, they get on your nerves to discourage you and make you quit.

If there is love in the industry so many youths will be coming out; that is why most movies you see, you see more of the older faces in the industry instead of the younger ones.

Can you tell us how far you’ve gone in your music career?

So far, I have released just one single, titled ‘Body Therapy’ featuring Ronkay and DJ Joenel, produced by Lirrupy and mixed and mastered by Brain on the Mix.

The video is not out yet but the audio is online, it was released in 2015.

How has acting influenced your romantic relationships?

My last relationship died because the guy I dated then had issues with my acting. He’s a jealous guy, he said I was always surrounded mostly by men and he didn’t like it.

What does it take to win your heart?

The guy must be educated, God-fearing, cute enough to give me good-looking kids. He must also be rich, hardworking and independent. When I say independent, I mean he must be a boss man, a boss of himself, not one who works under anybody.

I can’t marry a man who collects salary. I’m a boss lady, so, I must marry a boss man too.

What has been your worst experience on set?

The truth about it is, you will be humiliated by those who have been there before you. They have to make you feel we have been there before you, you have to respect us and be loyal to us.

I think it’s a tradition in Nollywood, as an actor, you must respect those who have been there before you.

Can you date a man much older than you?

If there is love I can, and the limit age I can date is 45years.

From your experience of dating Nigerian men, how romantic are they?

They are not really romantic, only few are.

Who is the best kisser you have kissed on set?

I have kissed four actors both in Ghana and Nigeria and when doing them there are no emotions. So, I don’t know who is the best kisser.

How strong is sex for you in a relationship?

Sex in a relationship for me is 80% important, because when the sex is a little bit boring the relationship starts falling apart, while the remaining 20% is about character and communication. But no matter how good a guy is in bed, if he treats me badly, I will walk away.

Nigerian lawyer assaulted by Policemen on instruction of National Assembly member in Lagos (Photos/Video)

Recounting his ordeal in the hands of Nigerian Police Officers, Relationship Counsellor, Victor Ibeh shared a video of a Nigerian Lawyer who was also his course rep in school, being harassed by Nigerian Police Officers.

According to Victor Ibeh, if his friend who is a Lawyer and knows the law could be subjected to such, how about those in other profession. He wrote;

“One of the worries I have about this country is the fact that citizens can’t even live a normal life without facing police harassment. Why do the bad eggs in the police force keep victimizing innocent citizens?

I have personally been harassed five times. Yet, we have criminals roaming the streets of lagos.

This man in this video Hon Chinweuba Moses was my course rep during my school days. He is a practicing lawyer who knows the law. Yet, he was subjected to this inhuman treatment just for owning a car and driving on a road in his home country.

Does it mean that FRSC is ignorant of reckless driving by security operatives? If this could happen to a lawyer, what is the fate of the common man? We will all keep mum until these people decimate us all. To even think that they shot at his tires and damaged them, worries me. What if they had shot directly at him?

If you haven’t encountered police men in Lagos, you may not understand how serious this is. These days we are scared of meeting police men on the road than we are of robbers. Isn’t that worrisome?

I will never understand why people who live on tax payers’ money will be harassing the same people feeding them.

There are stories of people who have been forced to withdraw money from ATM by police men. To argue with them is even to make your matter worse.

How did we even get here?”

On his own account, Chinweuba Moses said he was the Policemen assaulted him based on the instruction of a National Assembly member. Here’s what he wrote;

“And that was how I was molested, brutalized and manhandled by officers of the NPF on the instruction of one National Assembly Member this afternoon at Awoyaya, Lagos. As if that was not enough, one of them shot my front tyre before they zoomed off.

It’s time to make a statement. We both have equal rights of way on the road hence I will never be intimidated nor cowed by your act of trying to force me out of the road simply because you are on a convoy of another fellow Nigerian. I am a Taxpayer Mr. Man. This is just the beginning. More videos loading.”
