The sight of Petr Cech wearing Arsenal colours will continue to haunt Chelsea players and fans as the Premier League season draws closer.
The champions allowed the Czech goalkeeper to remain in London and make the move to Arsenal to avoid the difficulties of uprooting his family.
Yet allowing him to sign for their rivals has ensured Arsène Wenger’s side are now equipped to mount a serious title challenge.
Cech may prove to be a stellar signing by Wenger but, as José Mourinho’s side prepare to kick-off their pre-season with a match against the New York Red Bulls on Tuesday evening, his players are still coming to terms with the 33-year-old’s move to the Emirates.
