'Pre-season is fake' - Mourinho hits back after loss

Jose Mourinho has responded to critics by saying that Chelsea's 4-2 loss to New York Red Bulls is of no real concern, insisting "pre-season is fake". 

Well that might be true, afterall United won all the pre season games last season and then lost their first Premier League game, *Just saying*.


Chelsea lost 4-2 to the MLS side in their first game of the summer and the Blues boss insists his team lacked the concentration "needed to play football"

"Pre-season is fake, for good and for bad. If you're very bad it's fake, and if you're too good it's fake," he told reporters.

"The team in the second half couldn't defend. It was too easy for Red Bulls. Every chance they created was a goal.

"It's a question of concentration. In the second half we didn't have the concentration needed to play football."
