Suspected Boko Haram Terrorists Kill 8 In Borno

Boko Haram militants

Suspected Boko Haram militants have killed eight people in Borno last night, July 22, a local

resident and a vigilante said Thursday.

The Wednesday attack followed twin suicide bombings which occurred in Cameroon on the same day.

Multiple explosions were also recorded in Gombe state later on Wednesday, leaving unspecified

number of people dead.

“The gunmen we believe to be from Boko Haram came into our village around 9 pm yesterday

(Wednesday) and shot dead eight people,” said Umar Goni, a resident of Pompomari village.

According to Goni, the terrorists invaded the village chief's home, and killed his son as the chief was

not at home. They moved on to wreak havoc in other houses afterwards.
