Chelsea Will Keep Bidding For John Stones - Jose Mourinho Warns Everton

Manager Jose Mourinho has warned Everton that Chelsea will keep bidding for centre-back John Stones until the transfer window closes.

Reports in the Daily Mirror claims that the EPL champions are preparing to make the England international the most expensive defender in British football history, Mourinho has gone public to discuss his determination to land Stones.

Speaking from Montreal during Chelsea’s pre-season tour, he told the Mirror: “At the moment Everton say, ‘We don’t accept this bid’. They don’t say, ‘We don’t accept any bid.’

“While they say, ‘We don’t accept this bid’, until September 1 [when the summer transfer window closes] we can improve it. One pound more, ten pounds more – we can improve the bid. It is an open market until September 1.
