Christian Benteke has finalised his £32.5 million switch from Aston Villa to Liverpool on a five-year deal, becoming the club’s second most expensive signing.
The 24-year-old, who undertook a two-part medical in London on Monday and Tuesday with club doctor Andy Massey has finally sealed his move to Merseyside.
Liverpool had to activate Benteke’s hefty release clause as Aston Villa were reluctant to sell the Forward.
Benteke,who joined Aston Villa in 2012, scored 42 league goals in 88 games for the Club.
The Belgian is Liverpool’s seventh signing this summer, joining James Milner, Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan, Joe Gomez, Nathaniel Clyne and Firmino.
