The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) received the returnees last night. NEMA announced this this on its Twitter handle, sharing some photos of the refugees on their return.
Chad has been a major military ally with Nigeria in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency. Following Boko Haram insurgency in parts of the country, some Nigerians fled to neigbouring countries like Cameroon, Niger and Chad. More photos below..
