Three security men, who allegedly burgled a house and stole jewellery worth N5 million were yesterday docked before an Igbosere Magistrate’s Court, in Lagos.
The defendants, Musa Alli, 52; Mohammed Musa, 44; and Mohammed Mena, 69, who all reside at
Norman Williams Street, Ikoyi, Lagos, are standing trial on a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, burglary and stealing, preferred against them by the police.
The prosecutor, Inspector Igonbo Emby, told the court that the defendants committed the alleged offences on August 9, at 2:30a.m., in their residence.
He said the defendants allegedly broke into the house owned by one Ojuolape Adebayo and stole jewellery worth N5 million.
Magistrate P. A. Adekomaya admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N300,000 with two responsible sureties in like sum.
He said the sureties must be gainfully employed and be working with Lagos State civil service.
He adjourned the case to September 3 for mention.
