Three men were yesterday arraigned before an Apapa Chief Magistrate’s Court for allegedly damaging and stealing vehicle parts worth N2.5million.
The suspects include Mayowa Bankole, 26, Adewale Michael, 23 and Abraham Ndame, 27.
The defendants, who have no fixed addresses are facing a three-count charge bordering on malicious damage and stealing preferred against them by the police.
The prosecutor, Supt. Olu Ojaokomo, told the court that the defendants committed the alleged offences on July 1, 2015, at Resurrection Praise Ministries, Satellite Town, Lagos.
He said the defendants stole the following motor parts, one brain box valued at N45,000, pressing buttons worth N40,000, side mirror valued at N20,000 and Pigen hole valued at N15,000, property of one Jude llo Ojaokomo.
The prosecutor also accused the defendants of unlawfully damaging one SUV with number plate KTU 818 CV valued at N2.4 million with intent to render it useless, which also belongs to the complainant.
