A member of the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign council, Pastor Kehinde Ogunnusi, has advised the Senate President, Bukola Saraki , and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, to obey the directive of the APC on the sharing of other principal offices of the National Assembly.

Ogunnusi, who said this in a statement on Thursday, condemned the emergence of a Peoples Democratic Party senator, Ike Ekweremadu, as the deputy senate president.

He said what took place on June 9, when Saraki was elected in the absence of 51 other APC senators, was not acceptable.

He said, “The election was not the type of change Nigerians are expecting. There is nothing normal about this type of voting exercise. Nigerians are expecting transformation based on the APC campaign slogan of “change”.

Ogunnusi, however, commended Buhari’s performance since his inauguration on May 29, saying those criticising the President were not sincere.

He said, “The President, so far, has done very well. We can see that he has a very good knowledge of the polity and very responsive to the desires of Nigerians. He has taken off well with his security, anti-corruption and economic programmes. Nigerians are anxious to see past government officials return stolen money hidden abroad.

“We should all join hands together to assist this new   government to achieve its objectives. We trust that the President and the vice-president would use their political and judicial experiences to profit this nation and to make the ruling party stronger.”
